Today, Missouri City is marked by a growing population, dynamic economy and engaged citizenry – all proof positive that this is a highly desirous location.  The city has recently been declared one of America’s best places to live as well as one of the country’s safest communities – including the 5th safest in Texas – by Money Magazine.  The city has been awarded the Leadership Circle Award from the Texas State Comptroller’s Office for its transparency in financial, audit and budget reporting to residents.  Missouri City is constantly seeking to attract businesses to the area with significant incentives, and programs designed to help existing industries prosper.  Missouri City is home to the highly acclaimed Fort Bend Independent School District, a district consistently recognized for its excellence among both students and teachers.  The city also has an exemplary City Parks and Recreation Department that maintains and operates 19 parks on over 354 acres.
