Fort Bend is also proud of its remarkable diversity – in 2011 Fort Bend was ranked the fourth most racially-diverse country in the United States by USA Today. Fort Bend County also has a regional airport, Sugar Land Regional Airport, and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport is less than an hour away by car.
Fort Bend also has tons to do for the outdoor and cultural enthusiast. The county has over 8,000 acres of public parks and five landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Fort Bend County Courthouse and the Lamar-Calder House. In short, Fort Bend is an area on the rise because it is such a desirable place to live and raise a family.
